This paper includes two studies.The first is to conduct a quantitative study on the current situation of psychological counseling supervision in colleges and universities in Hebei Province.Through a questionnaire survey,we can understand the basic situation of psychological counseling supervision received by teachers(hereinafter referred to as "college psychological counseling practitioners")in colleges and universities in Hebei Province;The second study carried out a qualitative study on the current situation of psychological counseling and supervision in colleges and universities in Hebei Province.Using qualitative research as a method,through semistructured interviews with college psychological counseling practitioners on psychological counseling and supervision,we learned their views and attitudes towards psychological counseling and supervision,provided theoretical basis for exploring the path of psychological counseling and supervision in colleges and universities.In the first study,a total of 208 psychological counseling practitioners in universities in Hebei Province using a self-designed general information survey questionnaire and a self-assessment questionnaire on the competence of school mental health education teachers.The collected data was subjected to descriptive statistics,independent sample t-tests,one-way ANOVA,and chi square tests using statistical software SPSS 25.0.The results showed that the proportion of college psychological counseling practitioners receiving supervision was 59.13%;The competence level of college psychological counseling practitioners has gradually improved in recent years,with a total average score of(4.68 ± 0.47).There is a positive linear relationship between the length of time college psychological counseling practitioners participate in supervision and their competence level.Based on the review of relevant literature on psychological counseling and supervision and the analysis of the survey results of Research I,Research II formulated a semi-structured interview outline,interviewed 25 college psychological counseling practitioners from 8 Prefecture-level city in Hebei,used Nvivo12.0 software to code the interview text,explored the path of future college psychological counseling and supervision,and concluded that: starting from the superior competent department,college level and college psychological counseling practitioners’ personal level,Increase the importance of psychological counseling supervision in universities,incorporate psychological counseling supervision into the continuing education of psychological counseling practitioners in universities,and enhance their supervision awareness through institutionalized requirements;Establish a joint supervision resource pool among universities to promote the sharing of supervision resources,which can adopt diversified supervision forms such as online,offline,or a combination of both;Universities should establish special funds for psychological counseling supervision,strengthen the implementation of daily three-level supervision by counselors(peer discussion,group supervision,and individual supervision);College psychological counseling practitioners should establish a correct concept of supervision and abandon utilitarian ideas,in order to effectively improve the current situation of supervision in the college psychological counseling industry and enhance the professional level of college psychological counseling. |
