Space Of Identification:A Study Of Spatial Narration In Novels About Migrant Workers

In recent years,Day labor poverty alleviation have once again become a social hot spot,in line with the demands of the new era.As a specific part of the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature,the novels about migrant workers not only have the creation tradition of local literature,but also have the creation characteristics of modern urban novels,which are of great literary research value.The study of migrant worker novels has always been an important part of the study of modern and contemporary literary history.As its name suggests,this kind of novel,which portrays migrant workers as the main characters and works in cities as the theme,on the one hand,reflects the real history of urban and rural changes during the period of social transformation,on the other hand,it also describes the individual life history,which is a true portrayal of the unique life experience of a generation of Chinese people.On the one hand,it meets the ideological and cultural requirements of the new era,and on the other hand,it provides a positive practical reference for the improvement of the living conditions of migrant workers.Based on the logic of“The change of living space” and“Individual life experience”and“The change of identity discourse”,through the analysis and induction of the unique“Space narrative” in a kind of migrant workers novels,such as the more iconic space issues,the classic analysis of the work place,the special work literature“Space-time style”and so on,this paper discusses in detail the spatial presentation of the identity crisis of migrant workers,which was caused by the“Tide of migrant workers” in the 1980 s,it also restores a way to construct the subject identity discourse of migrant workers.The main body of the paper is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly generalizes the current realistic research background and the theoretical background,briefly explains the value significance of the research object,and sums up the present situation of the novels about migrant workers,this paper introduces the research methods,basic framework and logical thinking,and puts forward the innovation of this paper.The second chapter: "Space of the other: several spatial issues of migrant workers identity crisis".Select several "Spatial issues" closely related to identity crisis: urban and rural space,body space,gender space.Starting with these three groups of social contradictions,this paper discusses the causes,manifestations and consequences of the identity crisis of migrant workers in the context of their real life scenes in migrant workers’ novels.By listing,comparing and inducing the main forms of the identity crisis,this paper generalizes the present situation of the living space contraction of migrant workers as "The space of the other",they are the "Others" who are disciplined and marked in the space.They can not be accepted by the urban public space,nor can they grasp the free will of the body space movement,and they are at a disadvantage in the gender space.Chapter three: "The map of identity: Migrant Workers’ identity crisis and space discipline",through the extraction of classical space narration in migrant workers’ novels,taking "Road traffic,City landmark,house and residence" as the literature image to analyze the landscape,and analyzing the operation of the ideological discourse of "Space Discipline",the paper explores "Identity identification" as the coordinates of the main body’s identity confirmation in the space,and draws a unique "Identity map" belonging to the migrant workers.Chapter four: “Identity space-time body: migrant workers identity landscape and space production”by focusing on the migrant workers theme of the novel more representative clues of space-time changes,this paper sums up the features of“Time and space of working”reflected in the common plots such as“Work and rest reversed,overtime operation,assembly line work”.This paper attempts to explain the influence of the unique time and space experience in migrant workers’ novels on the construction of migrant workers’ identity discourse in the context of the globalization of time and space pursuit.Chapter five: "Subversion of subject: a spatial perspective of migrant workers’ identity mechanism" analyzes the plight of migrant workers’ identity discourse construction from a theoretical perspective,firstly,it points out the identity crisis caused by Space: separation,gathering and dispersal,and secondly,it puts forward some misunderstandings in the construction of migrant workers’ identity discourse based on the idea of establishing the socialist space difference justice,finally,combined with the migrant workers group and the new generation of migrant workers on-the-spot cases to give some suggestions.
