2021 marks the 40^thanniversary of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team’s first World Championship win,and their spirit has been officially included in the"Spiritual Genealogy of Chinese Communists."The Fighting Spirit of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team:Shouting the Strongest Voice of the Times is a sports memoir and documentary literature that systematically recounts the glorious development journey of China’s women’s volleyball team over 70 years for a general audience.It promotes and celebrates the team’s spirit of"putting our homeland first,unity and cooperation,tenacity and perseverance and never admitting defeat,"showcasing how this great spirit was born.The book faithfully reconstructs the history of struggle,spiritual cultivation,and belief inheritance within women’s volleyball while narrating both greatness behind ordinary lives and hardships behind excellence to inspire readers to understand,learn from,take pride in,and practice the women’s volleyball spirit.This translation practice report follows Professor Li Changshuan’s"comprehension,expression,adaptation"（CEA）framework to emphasize reader engagement.The report closely adheres to capturing the essence of the spirit of Chinese Women’s Volleyball;when translating outwardly,it retains original language features and unique perspectives while considering reader receptiveness to represent the spirit accurately:allowing more foreign readers to understand and recognition of their struggles and spiritual connotations,further promoting Chinese sports culture and spiritual culture internationally enhancing image and reputation abroad thus strengthening national soft power.This report consists of five sections:overview;translation process;introduction to the CEA framework;case study,and summary and outlook.The translator analyzes typical cases in detail from the three levels of"comprehension,expression,and adaptation,"explaining how to translate practice through this framework,and summarizes her gains and shortcomings.This report aids the accumulation of individual experiences improving translator proficiency and providing guidance for subsequent works in the field.
