A Report On The Simulated Simultaneous Interpretation Of Sports Gathering—An Interview With Lang Ping,Head Coach Of Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team

Volleyball,as one of the three ball games(football,basketball and volleyball)in our country,is a brand of China around the world.It is an effective way to enhance the international influence of China by promoting Chinese volleyball culture to go global.A live interview with the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team which won a bronze medal was conducted by the TV program Sports Gathering after the World Championships in 2018.In this interpretation report,the interview with Coach Lang Ping and some of players was selected as the material for simulated simultaneous interpretation.This report is divided into four parts: translation task introduction,task process,case analysis and task summary.During the process of interpreting,some difficulties are regarded as the typical problems by the writer,such as information redundancy,language logic,English-Chinese language differences,and terminology translation.In all of the above,the writer uses omission,amplification,and adaptation to deal with those problems and analyzes them with specific cases.The writer hopes to accumulate relevant translation experience in volleyball field,arouse more attention of interpreters to interview interpretation,and also take this opportunity to pay tribute to the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team.
