With the further promotion of internationalization, the economic and cultural exchanges between China and other countries in the world are becoming increasingly close. In recent years, with the implementation of the “Going Global” strategy of Chinese culture, legal system construction and legal exchanges between our country and international community have been continuously strengthened. The current international discourse system is still in the hands of Western countries headed by Europe and the United States.Due to differences in ideology and values,Western media may not be objective and accurate in reporting.Spreading Chinese legal culture and building an international image of governing the country by law are important parts to promote Chinese culture going global. Therefore,it is important to translate the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics and legal culture. The book Civil Code and Daily Life combines civil law with people’s daily life. The relevant cases in the book reflect the most authentic level of legal system, national conditions and cultural traditions in China. After a search by the author of the report there is currently no English version of Civil Code and Daily Life.Chesterman’s translation memetics combines translation and memetics, which has a certain guiding effect on legal English translation. The author chose Chesterman’s theory of translation memetics as a guide and took the legal popular science text Civil Code and Daily Life as the translation material. In this paper, the author analysed the three strong memes of vocabulary, structure and sentence pattern, combining translation memetics with legal English to present high-quality translations,so as to contribute to the overseas spread of the Civil Code.
