The Corona Virus Disease(COVID-19)which last for three years has greatly affected our work and life.In the end of 2022,the policy is fully liberalized.We seem to be back to three years ago.However,continuous COVID-19 has seriously affected employees’ thinking about the significance of work.Employees seem to lose the true meaning of their jobs due to increased job pressures,job demands,responsibilities,and work schedules.In the long run,this can have a detrimental effect on employee behavior and outcomes.Employees’ perception of work significance and satisfaction of basic psychological needs urge them to think inward.When employees feel that they are the creators of their own actions at work,they are more autonomously involved in work-related activities that create value for the organization.Based on this,surveys were conducted using the Comprehensive Meaningful Work Scale(CMWS),the Work-related Basic Need Satisfaction scale(W-BNS),the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES),and The Adult Attachment in the Workplace scale(AAW).Data analysis was performed with the help of statistical software SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0.This study conducted several questionnaire surveys employees through random sampling research methods.The purpose is to explore the impact of meaningful work and Basic Psychological Needs Theory on employees’ work engagement and the mediating role of workplace attachment.A total of 563 online questionnaires were distributed.Excluding with too short answering time,528 valid questionnaires were left.The study came to the following conclusions:(1)The Meaningful Work can positively predict the Work Engagement.(2)The Basic Psychological Need is to be able to positively predict the Work Engagement.(3)The Secure Attachment Style plays a full mediating role in Unity with others and Vigor.The Avoidant Attachment style plays a full mediating role in Balancing tensions and Dedication.The Preoccupied Attachment style plays a partial mediating role in Developing and becoming self and Absorption.(4)The Secure Attachment Style plays a partial mediating role in Relatedness and Absorption.The Avoidant Attachment style plays a partial mediating role in Competence and Vigor.The Preoccupied Attachment style plays a partial mediating role in Autonomy and Dedication.
