| The “Ziyi” is a document in the “Tsinghua University Bamboo Slips(Lu)”.The bamboo slips describe the background and process of Qin Mugong’s initiative to meet Chu’s ministers after the war between Qin and Jin;among them,the dialogue between Mu Gong and Zi Yi is particularly detailed,reflecting the changes in the relationship between Qin and Jin and Chu.The records of the diplomatic strategy of Qin Mugong,one of the hegemons of the Spring and Autumn period,in the handed down documents,especially the records of the transformation of the diplomatic strategy after the Qin State’s struggle for hegemony in the Central Plains,are extremely brief,and the details are not very clear.The dialogue between the two recorded in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips “Ziyi”has important historical value for studying the transformation of the diplomatic relations between Qin and Jin and Chu.Therefore,this paper takes Tsinghua bamboo slips “Ziyi” as the research object,and makes a comprehensive study of its text and historical events on the basis of fully collecting and sorting out the latest research opinions in the academic circle.This paper is divided into three parts :In the first part,on the basis of the existing research,according to the meaning of the text,the 15 th Jane is adjusted to between the 1 st Jane and the 2 nd Jane,and the full text is divided into two sections,which are explained separately.At the same time,combing the various viewpoints,combined with the relevant literature,make a reasonable explanation for the interpretation of words.The second part further analyzes the text of “Ziyi”.Through the comparative study of the rhetoric of “Ziyi” and “Zuozhuan”,we can see the dialogue between monarchs and ministers in the large section of “Ziyi” has very similar characteristics to the pedestrian rhetoric in “Zuozhuan”.It euphemistically expresses its own political intentions by means of poetry and expression of will,using a variety of rhetorical techniques.It is a typical narrative “language” literature.Secondly,through the analysis of the content and text style of “Ziyi”,it can be seen that “Ziyi” was originally written by the historiographer of Qin State,and then spread to Chu State by Jin State,and finally finished in the late Warring States Period.In the third part,through the interpretation of the content of the bamboo slips of“Ziyi”,and combined with the literature of “Zuozhuan”,the transformation of the diplomatic relations between Qin and Jin and Chu is studied.The background of Mu Gong’s alliance with Chu described in the bamboo slips is the failure of Mu Gong and Jin’s diplomatic strategy.The battle of Yao is the turning point of Mu Gong’s diplomatic strategy,after the war,Mu Gong twice passed Chu minister Ziyi to seek peace,that laying the foundation for the formal establishment of the Qin-Chu alliance.During the period of Qin Mugong,the strategy of “uniting Chu and resisting Jin” was inherited by the emperors of Qin in the past dynasties,but whether it was with Jin or uniting Chu,the purpose of Qin Mugong’s diplomatic strategy was to strive for hegemony in the Central Plains. |
