Color Emotion Expression In Meticulous Figure Painting

As an extremely important element in painting,color is an intuitive visual factor in the picture,which can instantly arouse the viewer’s attention and emotional resonance.The concept of color in traditional meticulous figure painting is based on Confucianism and Taoism,and is the product of the mutual influence of philosophical thoughts and humanistic ideas.This kind of color system with philosophical meaning shows the characteristics of symbolism,plane and image in painting.Since the 20 th century,with the spread of Western learning to the east,Western painting and traditional meticulous figure painting kept colliding,and the painting expression form and connotation of meticulous figure painting also changed.Especially after the reform and opening up in the 1980 s,under the impact of the development of The Times and multi-culture,meticulous brush painters launched a bold exploration with color as the innovation point,and painting materials and techniques were also enriched,including the expression of highly personalized color emotion,and the visual effects of the integration of various painting languages were often presented in the picture.This paper discusses the inspiration of the color causes of contemporary meticulous figure painting to his professional creation.The first part traces back to the source,goes deep into the painting history theory,analyzes how contemporary meticulous figure painting inherits the traditional painting color and makes innovations;The second part explores the characteristics of Western painting and the reference and absorption of contemporary meticulous figure painting to Western painting.In the last part,the first two parts of the study as the basis of personal color understanding,through learning the expression of color emotion in traditional,western and contemporary painting,comb out the author’s expression of color emotion in meticulous figure painting.How to better express color emotion through color collocation,use color decoration,imagery and cold and warm contrast of color,use of similar colors,color replacement,etc.,to create more emotional expressive works.
