| As the "childhood of human society",mythology has a permanent charm.It not only contains rich literary values,but also unites the emotions and strengths of national development,and occupies an important position in the field of literary creation.In the midst of the collision of rapidly developing technology and multiple cultures,the free,transcendent and fantastical cultural qualities of mythology make it a spiritual source for modern people to find their true nature.Because of its virtual and imaginative characteristics,animated film has also become an important medium for retelling mythology,and at the same time,it has become one of the artistic expressions for deconstructing mythology in a popular way and reconstructing it in a modern way.Since 2015,the theme of mythology has become a popular theme in the creation of domestic animation films,and compared with previous traditional adaptations of mythological themes,it is highlighted in the imaginative consumption and heterogeneous spatial expression characteristics inspired by technology,reflecting the dual aesthetic demands of modern audiences on reason and sensibility.This creative effort of a certain scale and coeval nature reflects in many ways the response of Chinese animation to the cultural trend of new mythicism.This study uses documentary research,textual analysis and comparative research methods from the new mythicism to sort out and analyze the creation of animated films with mythological themes released from 2015-2022.The study found that in the age of images,the advancement of technological means became an important basis for the pursuit of visual spectacle in mythological animated films.Under the influence of imaginative consumption,the creators actively or passively emphasized the film’s spectacle aesthetic.This spectacle not only drives the public to immerse themselves in it,but also stimulates the occurrence of individual cultural consumption behaviors and cultural interactions within the corresponding online communities.At the same time,the animation film uses the creative techniques such as the creation of reality and reality to build a heterotopian space to metaphorically represent the real world,to resonate with the real emotions transmitted through the virtual world,and to realize the modern expression of traditional mythology by means of strangeness,and to build a bridge of inner communication by means of empathic inquiry.On the other hand,considering the commercial and cultural attributes of animated films and the technical and ideological contradictions of neo-mythicism itself,there exists an endogenous myth in the creation of mythical animated films,which is reflected in three aspects:creation mode,visual expression and thematic expression.This paper compares the development of domestic animation films with mythological themes and analyzes the creative characteristics and aesthetic changes of animation films since the new period,hoping to make a regular refinement and problematic analysis of the current creative trends,especially in the light of the new mythology,and accordingly put forward thoughts and suggestions to provide inspiration for the subsequent animation creation. |
