Research On Innovative Design Of Ancient Books Based On The Aesthetics Of Life In The Song Dynasty

With the increasing emphasis of the country on the protection of traditional culture,the innovative design of ancient works has become increasingly important.How to integrate traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern aesthetics is an important issue in the innovative design of ancient books.The life aesthetics of the Song Dynasty,as a representative of traditional Chinese aesthetics,have enlightening effects on the innovative design of ancient books.This study focuses on the application of Song Dynasty life aesthetics in the innovative design of ancient books,and selects the Song Dynasty classic “Brush Talks from Dream Brook” as the object of innovative design practice in ancient books.This study is divided into six parts.On the basis of reviewing the academic achievements related to the aesthetics of life and innovative design of ancient books in the Song Dynasty,the first part proposes research questions and determines research ideas and methods.The second part mainly summarizes the relevant concepts and theories of Song Dynasty life aesthetics and innovative design of ancient books,and analyzes the application of Song Dynasty aesthetics in innovative design of ancient books through investigation and research.The third part systematically sorts out and analyzes the characteristics of the life aesthetics of the Song Dynasty,and specifically discusses the relationship between the life aesthetics of the Song Dynasty and the innovative design of ancient books.From an overall perspective,the aesthetics of life in the Song Dynasty have prominent characteristics of“natural dilution” “profound meaning” and “appropriate playthings”.These characteristics are related to the pursuit of simple and elegant style,cultural innovation,and the inheritance of traditional techniques in the innovative design of ancient books.Some typical design cases also reflect the correlation between the two.The fourth part systematically summarizes the principles,ideas,and methods of innovative design in ancient books based on the characteristics of life aesthetics in the Song Dynasty and the ideas and concepts of modern design.In terms of design principles,it is proposed to highlight the aesthetic style of the Song Dynasty,innovate the expression of traditional culture,and enhance the interactive experience of readers;In terms of design ideas,it is proposed to highlight the overall style of “out of nature”,excavate cultural symbols of“meaning in things”,and achieve the aesthetic experience of “using less to win more”;In terms of design methods,it is proposed to use materials and colors to enhance the style of books,create charm through the redesign of text and graphics,and enhance the connotation of books through spatial layout and blank use.The fifth part applies the style and elements of the life aesthetics of the Song Dynasty to the innovative design of the book “Brush Talks from Dream Brook”.Through the integration of traditional aesthetic art and modern technology,the content and connotation of “Brush Talks from Dream Brook” are presented,and the artistic and interesting aspects of “Brush Talks from Dream Brook” are highlighted.This section first sorts out the positioning of“Brush Talks from Dream Brook”,organizes the text,and then extracts cultural symbols based on the content and connotation of “Brush Talks from Dream Brook”,and draws illustrations that conform to the book’s connotation.Afterwards,based on the aesthetics of life in the Song Dynasty,books were edited,designed,bound,and arranged.Finally,the innovative design of“Brush Talks from Dream Brook” will be derived and applied to better promote its dissemination.The final part summarizes the research content of this study and prospects the academic research and creative practice prospects of the Song Dynasty’s life aesthetics and innovative design of ancient books.This study starts from the perspective of the aesthetics of life in the Song Dynasty and modern book design,combining traditional culture with modern techniques,and endowing“Brush Talks from Dream Brook” with modern connotations.This study aims to bring new visual experiences and aesthetic values to the innovative design of ancient books,while also contributing to the dissemination of traditional Chinese aesthetic values.
