There Lationship And Intervention Of Academic Self-Efficacy Self-Esteem And Academic Burnout In Middle School Students | Posted on:2024-07-01 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:T Liu | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2555307121977219 | Subject:Applied Psychology | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To investigate the basic situation of academic self-efficacy,self-esteem and academic burnout of junior high school students,and to analyze the relationship among them.On this basis,a targeted group psychological counseling program is developed to improve the academic self-efficacy of junior high school students,so as to explore an effective way to improve the academic self-efficacy of junior high school students,so as to reduce the symptoms of academic burnout of junior high school students.Methods: This study consists of two parts.Study 1 conducted a questionnaire survey on 667 junior middle school students using the academic self-efficacy scale,self-esteem scale and academic burnout scale.Through the questionnaire survey,the data of three variables were obtained,and the theoretical model of the three variables was established and the empirical analysis was carried out.Then,based on the results of study 1,Study 2 designed a group psychological counseling intervention plan for the academic self-efficacy of junior high school students,and selected 40 junior high school students with the symptoms of academic self-efficacy,self-esteem and academic burnout at a critical level(need psychological counseling).The subjects were randomly assigned to the experimental group(20 people)and the control group(20 people).The group psychological counseling experiment was carried out for the experimental group,and the subjects in the two groups were tested before and after.The effectiveness of the group intervention program was verified by comparing the data differences between the pre and post tests.Conclusion:(1)The self-esteem of junior high school students has a significant negative correlation with the symptoms of academic burnout.(2)Academic self-efficacy of junior high school students is significantly correlated with self-esteem and symptoms of academic burnout;There is a significant positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and self-esteem of junior high school students.The academic self-efficacy of junior high school students is negatively correlated with their academic burnout.There was a significant negative correlation between academic ability self-efficacy and academic burnout symptoms,and a significant positive correlation between academic ability self-efficacy and self-esteem.There was a significant negative correlation between academic behavior self-efficacy and symptoms of academic burnout,and a significant positive correlation between academic behavior self-efficacy and self-esteem.(3)Self-esteem is the mediating factor affecting the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic burnout.(4)Group psychological counseling intervention can improve students’ academic self-efficacy and self-esteem,so as to reduce the symptoms of academic burnout of junior high school students. | Keywords/Search Tags: | academic self-efficacy, self-esteem, academic burnout, junior high school students | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
