Research On The Early Immigrant Society Of Hexi In Han Dynasty Centered On Hexi Han Bamboo Slips

The Hexi Corridor is an important channel for communication between the hinterland of the Central Plains and the countries of the Western Regions.It is a bright pearl on the eastern section of the Silk Road.The development and operation of Hexi Corridor in the period of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty is a great practice and innovation of the previous rulers ’ thought of governing the border.Among them,the immigration policy plays a vital role in the formation of Hexi society.In the past,the academic research on Hexi society mostly focused on the middle and late stages of social formation,and lacked comprehensive and systematic research on the early development and construction of Hexi society.Based on the previous research results and the handed down literature,this paper takes the unearthed bamboo slips as the center,takes the group of early immigrants in Hexi as the research object,and deeply explores its important historical role in the early formation and construction of Hexi society,and strives to have a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the development of Hexi society.From the unearthed records of Hexi,it can be seen that the early immigrants in Hexi mostly referred to the grassroots officials and their subordinates.They are at the most basic level of the border county administration,and their role in maintaining the normal operation of the administrative system and the stable development of the border county society is self-evident.In the face of material shortage and harsh living environment in Hexi area,early immigrants did not fear difficulties and laid a solid foundation for large-scale immigration development.
