The Artistic Presentation Of Urban Theme Films On The "Shenzhen Spirit"

The "Shenzhen Spirit" is developed from the "pioneering spirit" and "special zone spirit" in the early 1980 s,which were the two distinctive spiritual pursuits of the people of Shenzhen through years of unremitting efforts and joint struggle.The urban-themed films that focus on the stories that took place in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone can be regarded as an important artistic carrier to highlight and convey the "Shenzhen Spirit".How to tell the "Shenzhen story" well in the new era and present the "Shenzhen spirit" in a vivid and artistic way is undoubtedly of great practical significance and beneficial influence for enriching and enhancing people’s spiritual life and cultural entertainment,and further developing the core engine function of Shenzhen.This thesis attempts to explore the artistic presentation of the "Shenzhen Spirit" in urban-themed films from a unique perspective,combining the basic connotations of the "Shenzhen Spirit" and its evolving characteristics of the times,and defining more than ten urban-themed films as the research scope.Through focusing on the interpretation of several representative works with typical significance,from the themes of struggle and hardship,the multi-layered narrative style of the civilian,the image-building of the grassroots,the marginal,and the elite,as well as the colorful audio-visual language,this thesis will give a thorough and detailed exploration of the artistic presentation of the "Shenzhen Spirit" in urban-themed films.On this basis,it also reflects on the possible problems or shortcomings of urban-themed films in the artistic presentation of the "Shenzhen Spirit",such as repetitive story themes,homogenized content,monotonous narrative techniques,and low artistic standards,and proposes some suggestions for improvement.
