Research On The Culture Of The Waisumu Miao Funeral Lu Sheng Drum Dance In Guanling County

The Lusheng Drum Dance is a traditional funeral dance of the Waisu Miao ethnic group,which is dependent on the funeral customs of the Waisu Miao involving the use of a comb-shaped instrument.It is an artistic form that integrates ancient Chinese singing,dancing,and music,and has been preserved among the Waisu Miao people.The Lusheng Drum Dance is first and foremost a cultural ritual,followed by a dance performance.As a highly folkloric funeral dance,it represents the ethnic and folk belief culture,and has both cultural and artistic significance.It is of great academic research value for disciplines such as dance studies,ethnic musicology,folklore studies,and cultural anthropology.This article takes the Lusheng Drum Dance as the research object,the Waisu Miao traditional funeral ceremony as the research background,and selects Guanling Buyi and Miao Autonomous County as the field investigation site,collecting a large amount of first-hand field data.The study applies the principles of dance ecology and cultural anthropology field practice analysis methods to explore and organize the historical origins,ritual procedures,dance forms,and metaphorical cultural connotations behind the Lusheng Drum Dance.The article is divided into an introduction,four chapters,and a conclusion.The structure is as follows: The introduction mainly discusses the preliminary preparations for the research from four directions: the research origin,research status,research purpose and significance,and exploration methods and innovations.Chapter one briefly describes the historical culture of the Waisu Miao,leading to the Lusheng Drum Dance.By sorting out local literature and folklore,the article traces the origins of the Lusheng Drum Dance.Chapter two records a relatively complete Waisu Miao funeral ceremony through field investigations in the Guanling Waisu Miao region,and provides a brief analysis of the conditions,elements,and the Lusheng Drum Dance in the ceremony,as well as the relationship between the funeral ceremony and the Lusheng Drum Dance.Chapter three analyzes the dance form of the Lusheng Drum Dance using the characteristics extraction method of dance ecology,explaining its ritual function and aesthetic features,and exploring its accompanying objects and causes.Chapter four focuses on the cultural connotations of the Lusheng Drum Dance.The Lusheng Drum Dance is an important part of the Waisu Miao funeral ceremony,which is a concentrated reflection of Waisu Miao traditional culture and religious beliefs.The author hopes that through the study of the Lusheng Drum Dance,it can contribute to the protection and development of Waisu Miao traditional culture.
