Excellent international Chinese educational reading materials are often an important reference for international Chinese teachers to carry out Chinese reading teaching activities.They are not only written classroom materials shared by learners and international Chinese teachers,but also an important medium for learners to objectively and directly understand China in the new historical period.As an important part of reading materials for Chinese texts as a foreign language,Chinese vocabulary runs through the whole process of learners’ reading and learning.The applicability of textbooks is most prominent in the part of vocabulary compilation,and the compilation of textbook vocabulary is directly related to the teaching effect of second language.It can be seen that in the process of learning Chinese,a reasonable vocabulary writing scheme is beneficial to the improvement of learners’ Chinese related ability.Therefore,on the basis of sorting out international textbooks for Chinese educational reading,this paper selects three sets of elementary reading textbooks for vocabulary compilation to analyze and study.The research situation is as follows:Firstly,the reading corpus of three sets of international Chinese educational reading textbooks at the primary stage is calculated into a reading corpus of about 100,000 words.On the basis of the corpus,it is divided into four corpus sub databases,namely main text,secondary text,exercise design and other reading materials,according to the sections of the respective textbooks.Secondly,by means of corpus statistics,comparative analysis and quantitative analysis,this paper records and analyzes the arrangement of vocabulary from the three sets of primary reading textbooks in terms of the number of new words,lexical difficulty and lexical repetition.It is found that in terms of the number of new words,the compiling standard of Chinese reading textbook lacks the guidance of authoritative documents,and HANYU YUEDU JIAOCHENG(Revised Edition)Volume 2 is the most consistent with the standard of conventional textbook.In addition,we also find that the revised textbooks are easy to appear the new words in the class and the new words in the word list do not correspond to the situation,lack of a certain rigor.In terms of vocabulary difficulty,the vocabulary selection in LEDU The International Chinese Reading Teaching Textbook 2 is the most consistent with the general learning situation of primary stage users,while the proportion of vocabulary difficulty in HANYU YUEDU JIAOCHENG(Revised Edition)Volume 2 is the most consistent with the learning situation of primary stage users.In terms of vocabulary recurrence,the three sets of primary reading textbooks pay some attention to the recurrence of vocabulary,but there still insufficient recurrence of some words.Finally,this paper sorts out and summarizes the advantages and limitations of the three sets of textbooks,and suggests that efforts should be made from the formulation and refinement of reading textbook standards,the addition of related reading corpus,the application of modern educational technology,the construction of relevant platforms and other aspects,hoping to provide referable modern optimization ideas for the upgrading of skill textbooks.
