A Study On The Aesthetics Of The Characters In A·Odser’s Novels

Based on the six novel texts in "The Anthologies of A Odes Er",this thesis analyzes the fictional bear the author’s subjective consciousness and primitive aesthetic ideals,examines the role system,creative pursuit,and the meaning of the characters and images portrayed in their novels,thereby explaining the author’s unique aesthetic pursuit.The main body of the thesis consists of five parts: introduction,chapter one,chapter two,chapter three,and conclusion.The introduction explains the reasons for choosing the topic,its significance,research overview,and research methods.The first chapter analyzes the character system of A.Odserl’s novels from three aspects: aesthetic category,value orientation,and shaping methods.In the first section,the aesthetic composition of characters is summarized with tragic and heroic characters,majestic characters,and gentle characters.The second section summarizes the value orientation of the characters by classifying them into decent,villainous,and intermediate roles.The third section explores the methods of characterization from two parts: the shaping of typical images and the writing of universal images.The second chapter analyzes the author’s aesthetic pursuit of portraying heroic images from the perspective of the novel’s characters’ demeanor,origin,quality,and behavior,and summarizes their artistic characteristics.The first part talks about the heroes in the author’s works,which have the characteristics of being tall and imposing,handsome and unrestrained,and powerful in physical appearance,constituting their outstanding appearance.In the second part,the origin characteristics of heroes are divided into two aspects: being alone and unreliable,and being incredible.In the third part,the moral characteristics of heroes are summarized into several categories: courage,selfless dedication,and loyalty.The fourth part summarizes and narrates the characteristics of hero’s behavior and deeds from three aspects: grandiosity,chivalry,and storytelling.Based on the above two parts,Chapter III mainly analyzes the significance of the character image,which is divided into three sections:era significance,cultural significance,and aesthetic significance.The first section describes my own views in three parts: creative trends,social tasks,and the times and aspirations.In the second section,it is mainly demonstrated from two ways: the cultural heritage of life and the cultural heritage of literature.The third section summarizes the aesthetic sublimation process of the characteristics of the characters in the novel from classic representation to modern writing.
