| Yun Shouping was the founder and leader of the Changzhou School of painting in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.The boneless flowers he created have a profound influence in the history of Chinese flower-and-bird painting.Inheriting the tradition of literati painting and creating a unique boneless new style,he showed his devotion to inherit tradition,serious attitude,and ability to create new ideas,whether in the selection of materials,the use of ink,coloring,composition,brushwork,or artistic conception.Therefore,his works not only have traditional aesthetic value,but also show his insight into the times and innovative spirit.This article is divided into four parts: taking the aesthetics embodied in Yun Shouping’s boneless paintings as the main line,combined with the author’s own creative practice of boneless painting.The first part explains the significance and value of Yun Shouping’s aesthetics to the enlightenment of creation,as well as domestic and foreign research,research methods,and research innovation.The second part,from Yun Shouping’s the background of the formation of aesthetic,his ancestor for the official to his old age sad and end of life,the formation of his aesthetic is very profound.Then respectively introduce his aesthetics contained in a few points,from his specific works to analyze to show what aesthetics,finally on Yun Shouping aesthetics to make a summary.The third part,starting from the creative ideas and preliminary preparations,specifically analyzes the inspiration of Yun Shouping’s aesthetics to the author,including the importance of sketching,the use of emotion in painting,elegant but not vulgar coloring,simple and naive creative inspiration,and reflection on creation.Finally,the enlightenment of Yun Shouping’s aesthetics to the author and contemporary boneless painting is obtained: first,Yun Shouping’s aesthetic is rooted in Chinese traditional culture,and as a branch of traditional culture,boneless painting is bound to draw nutrients from it,and the essence of traditional culture is something that must be learned;second,the experience of life is essential,and if we pursue works’ lively spirit and charm style,learning from nature is the foundation;third,we should be innovative when learning the advantages of the ancients,Yun Shouping’s breakthroughs in boneless painting have become an indispensable page in history,and it is only with an aesthetic that integrates tradition and modernity that boneless painting can continue to develop. |
