The essentials of boneless flower-and-bird techniques are difficult to grasp.Compared with other techniques, there are few successful artists in this field.Xu Chongsi of the Northern Song Dynasty made a pioneering contribution to this field.Later patriarchal clan Xu Chongsi's boneless techniques included Zhao Chang and Sun Long, but their overall influence was not high.Yun Shouping was a painter in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. He studied landscape painting and achieved little success.Middle age instead of Xu Chongsi, turned to boneless flower and bird creation. It is very difficult to turn from landscape painting to flower-and-bird painting. It takes a lot of courage and artistic confidence to choose boneless flowers and birds which are difficult to learn. But in the end,Yun Shouping succeeded and became a man who made great contributions to the rise and fall of boneless flowers and birds in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.Yun Shouping's boneless flowers and birds inherited the mainstream aesthetic style of the courtyard painting, but they were innovated in composition, color design and brushwork,so they can enjoy both refined and popular, novel and unique and vivid.Exploring Yun Shouping's artistic transformation can help us understand the necessary conditions for artistic innovation and lay a solid foundation for the innovation of contemporary Chinese painting.Analyzing the artistic achievements and aesthetic value of Yun Shouping's boneless flowers and birds is helpful to understand the artistic creation characteristics of Yun Shouping and the changes of the times of the techniques of boneless flowers and birds, which lays a theoretical foundation for the development of traditional Chinese painting techniques.First of all,the research focuses on collecting and sorting out the relevant evaluation of Yun Shouping boneless flower and bird art at home and abroad. It is found that there is less special discussion in this field abroad, more is the overall evaluation of traditional Chinese painting,as well as the evaluation of Shen Zhou,Zhang Daqian and other individual painters. In contrast, there are many studies on Yun Shouping in China, but there is still a lack of in-depth analysis of the artistry of Yun Shouping boneless flowers and birds,as well as in-depth analysis of the techniques of writing. The second chapter focuses on Yun Shouping's era of cultural background, cultural changes and painting style changes. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the war,the collision between Chinese and Western cultures, and the development of Confucianism all had different influences on painters' life and creation. After the social stability in early Qing Dynasty,Yun Shou Ping's creation changed from landscape painting to boneless flower and bird painting. The third chapter focuses on the artistic style of Yun Shou Ping's boneless flower and bird painting. The artistic style of the painter has an important relationship with his teacher's inheritance. This paper discusses Yun Shouping's inheritance and innovation of Xu Chongsi's boneless flower and bird painting. In the depth analysis of Yun Shouping's boneless flower-and-bird painting style, the study is carried out from four aspects: the composition, the use of brush strokes, color characteristics and humanistic feelings. The fourth chapter focuses on the artistic achievements and influence of Yun Shouping's boneless flowers and birds, including its overall artistry, the integration of commercial culture, the transformation of the past to the new and its impact on modern and contemporary famous scholars.Ju's brothers and Qi Baishi inherited or borrowed Yun Shouping's skeleton-free brushwork in terms of artistic features. The boneless flowers and birds of Qiu Yi-mu,a modern painter, also inherited and developed Yun Shouping's techniques.Analyzing the inheritance of boneless flower-and-bird techniques is helpful to understand the changes of traditional Chinese flower-and-bird painting art and to grasp the future development direction.
