A Study On The Style Of Yun Shouping’s Boneless Flowers-and-birds Painting

In the history of the development of flower-and-bird painting,boneless flowerand-bird painting has always attracted much attention.As a representative painter of boneless flower and bird painting,Yun Shouping plays a role in the research of boneless flower-and-bird painting.As early as the early Qing Dynasty,under the background of large-scale freehand flowers-and-birds and palace courtyard flowerand-bird paintings,Yun Shouping decided to vigorously develop boneless flowerand-bird paintings with Xu Chongsi of the Northern Song Dynasty as his ancestor through the investigation of his predecessors.From "mastering the ancients" to "creating a teacher",he formed a boneless flower-and-bird painting style with his own characteristics on the road of exploring boneless flower-and-bird painting.His boneless flower-and-bird paintings are handsome and colorful,and he creatively uses the element of "water" to develop a new technique of boneless flower-and-bird painting.He pursued a "simple and easy" painting style,strongly respected the "Yi products" of flower-and-bird paintings,and achieved high artistic achievements.This thesis starts from Yun Shouping’s boneless flower-and-bird paintings,based on Yun Shouping’s paintings of flowers-and-birds,combined with the background of the times,and studies the style of Yun Shouping’s boneless flowers-and-birds.The thesis consists of four aspects: firstly,it discusses the formation background of the "boneless method",and analyzes the emergence and development of the boneless method;Secondly,from the perspective of Yun Shouping’s life and the reasons for the transformation of mountains and rivers into flowers,the background of the formation of Yun Shouping’s boneless flower-and-bird painting style is analyzed.Thirdly,from the four aspects of Yun Shouping’s inheritance of flower-and-bird paintings,the influence of landscape painting on flower and bird paintings,daily travel and exploration of nature,the reasons for the formation of Yun Shouping’s boneless flower-and-bird painting style are studied,and its style characteristics are summarized.Finally,the influence of Yun Shouping’s boneless flowers-and-birds on the modern Changzhou School and the "Er Ju" is analyzed.
