From "Shanghai Women" Look The Shanghai Women’s Liberation Movement During The"Isolated Island"Period

In the traditional society,most Chinese women must abide by the feudal ethics of three obedience and four virtues,which makes them living at the bottom of their families and their subject consciousness is very low.After the outbreak of the All-Out War of Resistance Against Japan,more and more Chinese women enhanced their sense of subjectivity,so that more and more women devoted themselves to the struggle to save the dead and defend the country.The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression prompted more Chinese women to go out of their homes,changed their traditional lives,and enabled them to participate in and carry out the work of saving the war as citizens.At the same time,Chinese women regard "the war of resistance above all else" as the code of conduct for their daily activities in wartime,and try their best to link their daily activities when working,so as to link the promotion of their own liberation with the promotion of the liberation of the Chinese nation,so as to achieve their own liberation while fighting the war.One of the great advances in the women’s liberation movement in modern China was the creation of a publication on women’s issues.Since the fall of the surrounding areas of Shanghai in 1937,the Shanghai Public Concession and the French Concession were surrounded by the Japanese-occupied area,like an "island",and the women’s periodicals of the "island" period were not depressed by this bad situation,but because of the special nature of the "island" period,women’s right to speak became more prominent.The "Shanghai Women" selected in this article is the mouthpiece for publicizing the relevant content of the women’s liberation movement in Shanghai during the "island" period,and it is also a guide for women to participate in the relevant anti-Japanese war rescue work during the Anti-Japanese War period,and it is also an important material for promoting women’s emancipation of the mind and improving women’s actual life.It can be said that "Shanghai Women" is one of the most influential women’s publications in Shanghai during the "island" period.From the perspective of Shanghai Women,this paper will explore the development process of the women’s liberation movement in Shanghai during the "island" period and the specific changes in the status of women during this period.This article is mainly composed of three parts: introduction,main text,and conclusion.The introductory part of this paper mainly includes four parts: the reason for selecting the topic,the research status,the research ideas and methods,the research difficulties and the innovations.There are four parts in the main text:the first part is to explain the founding and main content of Shanghai Women,a progressive journal in Shanghai during the "island" period;The second part explores how the Shanghai Women’s Liberation Movement mobilized women in the "island" period from the perspective of "Shanghai Women" and other historical sources.The third part is to sort out the relevant content of Shanghai Women,and explore the content and process of the Shanghai women’s liberation movement in the "island" period from the perspective of the journal.The fourth part describes the effectiveness of the women’s liberation movement in Shanghai during the "island" period.The concluding part,based on the previous narrative,evaluates the Shanghai women’s liberation movement during the "island" period.
