Power Points are widely used in the fields of education and business due to their features of rich functions and visual effects. As the cooperation and communication between countries become more and more frequent, the Power Points plays a rather important role in it.In order to make the communication between the two sides and even between the parties smoother,high-quality translation of the Power Points is of great significance. This paper takes a series of Power Points used for internal training by an automotive components original equipment manufacturer as a research case and explores the following difficulties:restricted spatial layout, overly concise bullet points, and numerous industry terms and abbreviations.By analyzing and reflecting on the first draft of the translation and the reviewed version,as well as reviewing relevant literature, this paper summarizes and suggests three corresponding translation countermeasures. In view of the problem of restricted space layout, translators should strive for concise and clear language expressions when translating by deleting redundant information and using abbreviations appropriately.Secondly, with respect to the overly concise bullet points, four means can be used to assist translators in understanding what message the text wants to convey,i.e.finding contextual clues, using non-textual information such as pictures, searching online, and communicating directly with clients.Translators are also advised to expose the inner logic by means like additional translation and supplementary translation. Finally, for the numerous industry terms and abbreviations, different translation methods can be flexibly applied according to the actual situation, including the zero-translation,the back translation, the literal translation and the supplement translation.
