Group Image Building In Documentary Films About The Elderly

An old man is a history.The record of the elderly group is both "historical preservation" and "cultural symbol".However,in today’s media,the elderly generally lack the right to speak.With the increasingly serious aging phenomenon in China,the Chinese way of providing for the aged is worth pondering and exploring.In response to the active aging,it is necessary to use documentaries to speak for the elderly groups,and then study and analyze the image building of the elderly documentary groups in China.Based on the author’s graduation work "if life is still poetic",this paper actively explores the problem of group image building in the elderly theme documentary from the aspects of narrative strategy,image strategy,image comparison of different elderly groups and so on.Specifically as follows: the introduction part combs the research status of elderly documentaries in different periods,and summarizes the elderly group image shaping and narrative strategies in the creation of elderly documentaries and elderly documentaries;The first chapter draws lessons from the narrative strategies of the existing documentaries on the elderly in shaping the group image,and makes a brief analysis of the innovations in the author’s graduation works;The second chapter analyzes the particularity of the elderly documentary in shaping characters from the perspective of image strategy;The third chapter makes a comparative analysis of the differences in the image building of different elderly groups in the elderly documentaries;The conclusion is a summary of the group image shaping methods of the elderly documentary based on the author’s graduation work "if life is still poetic",and a reflection on the shooting process,indicating the gains and shortcomings in the practice process,and then looking forward to the future development of the elderly documentary.
