| In recent years,China’s international status has increased significantly and the influence of the Chinese language is expanding.The number of people learning Chinese around the world is increasing year by year.In order to help students master the Chinese language and improve their language skills,institutions have turned their attention to the development of Chinese language textbooks for oversea learners.the research on the development of "integration of examination and teaching" type of Chinese language textbooks for oversea learners in the new era is somewhat insufficient.In view of this,two sets of "integration of examination and teaching" textbooks,HSK Standard Course(1-2)and YCT Standard Course(1-4),are selected for this study,aiming to investigate the characteristics and strengths of these Chinese teaching materials through comparative analysis.In addition,we have combined the real feedback from teachers and students,summarized their strengths and weaknesses,taken their strengths and weaknesses,and finally summarized the feasible writing suggestions to provide new ideas for the writing of "integration of examination and teaching" Chinese language textbooks for oversea learners in the new era.This article compares and examines the two sets of teaching materials in three main areas:overall design,language elements,texts and exercises,etc.The specific arrangements are as follows:Firstly,in terms of holistic design,the author has examined the similarities and differences between the two sets of teaching materials from a macroscopic perspective in terms of writing philosophy and structure.From this,the strengths and weaknesses of each were identified,leading to feasible suggestions for the overall design and development of both sets of materials.Secondly,in terms of language elements,the author has used statistical analysis to examine the similarities and differences between the two sets of textbooks in the areas of phonetics,vocabulary and grammar.In addition,the author compares and analyses the strengths and weaknesses of the two sets of textbooks in terms of the arrangement of the three elements at various levels.This has led to suggestions for revising the language elements of both sets of materials accordingly.Thirdly,based on relevant theoretical research,the author analyses and studies the two sets of teaching materials from two major aspects: text and exercises.The author also summarises the advantages and disadvantages of both,draws on each other in both,and finally proposes corresponding revisions to the texts and exercises for both sets of textbooks.Finally,the author also conducted questionnaires with some students and teachers,which strengthened the analysis and assessment of the two sets of teaching materials.Based on the above comparative analysis of the two sets of textbooks and the content of the interviews,the author draws on the respective strengths and weaknesses of the two sets of textbooks and proposes relevant writing strategies for the primary "integration of examination and teaching" Chinese language textbooks for oversea learners,as well as some writing suggestions in terms of overall design,language elements,texts and exercises.The author also proposes some suggestions for the development of the textbook in terms of overall design,language elements,texts and exercises. |
