Ceramic Art Creation Inspired By The Ceramic Works Of Tapies

Anthony during the war.Tapias,constantly drawing on the power of the East,breaking out of the cocoon of personal thought.Dare to question,dare to stand up for your heart.As he says in the documentary: "The religious education I received throughout my student years was rigid.Christianity is not helping people to reflect on death,but the idea that in Buddhism there is a message of hope,a way to solve and transcend grief,namely liberation from desire,gave me great comfort." He questioned the political and religious environment in Spain at the time.After the Second World War,although in the context of Western culture,Tapias was deeply attracted by Eastern culture,with increasing interest.In 1987,he founded the Library of Oriental Art Books in Barcelona,which is the largest collection of Oriental art library in Spain.It was also during this period that he began experimenting with ceramic materials.It is no accident that his research on Oriental culture coincides with the creation of ceramic art.This paper takes his ceramic works as the research content,and through summarizing and sorting out his creation themes and features to understand the influence of Oriental culture on Tapias’ works,so as to inspire his own pottery creation.After consulting a large number of documents,artists’ biographies,documentaries and critics’ texts,and trying to select artists’ first-hand data for analysis,it can be found that the word Oriental culture is often mentioned.This paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter: an overview of Tapias ceramic works,the second chapter: pottery creation based on random and old objects,the third chapter: Tapias works of inspiration to artistic creation.Anthony Tapias’ works show the charm of Chinese landscape and calligraphy,and contain Oriental ideas."All experiences will be revealed in the future," Tapias’ s ceramics and paintings are the best illustration.
