The figure painting in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period was a turning point in the history of Chinese painting and opened a new chapter for the inheritance of the Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty.In the creation of figure paintings in the Five Dynasties,the subjects directly depicting the life of aristocrats occupied a large proportion.Especially the painters of the Palace Painting Academy,to vividly depict the royal family and aristocrats,showing their luxurious lifestyle.Zhou Wenju,as a court painter of the Five Dynasties of the Southern Tang Dynasty,played a very important role in this transitional period.He was highly regarded in the Southern Tang Dynasty.His painting style is unique and has a profound influence on later generations.Few original paintings survived before the Song Dynasty,and most of his paintings are imitations of the Song and even Ming Dynasties.Through the research and analysis of Zhou Wenju’s paintings,such as "Harmony Painting" and "Palace Painting",as well as the reading of relevant literature,this paper studies and concludes the style of Zhou Wenju’s ladies’ paintings,so as to better understand the unique charm implied in Zhou Wenju’s ladies’ paintings.In the part of the creation of the article,the author’s emotions are subjectively applied to colors to break the restrictions of space and form a unique shape and composition.The model,color,emotion and yearning of Zhou Wenju are incorporated into the picture,forming the author’s unique personality and influencing the current creation practice at a deeper level.
