The Chinese nation’s great rejuvenation necessitates both a strong material and spiritual foundation,which is the foundation of constructing a robust socialist culture.China’s culture is an incomparable asset,a testament to the advancement of human civilization and natural progression,a means of fostering intercultural exchange and education,and a priceless asset to humanity.The perpetuation of human civilization and the sustainable development of the world necessitates our shared responsibility to safeguard,pass down,and exploit cultural heritage.Mount Emei Scenic Area’s cultural heritage,with its long history and unique qualities,is a must for making contributions to the present and benefiting the future.By delving into the safeguarding and administration of Mount Emei Scenic Area’s cultural heritage,examining the present difficulties and origins,and uncovering solutions and proposals,not only can the cultural heritage of Mount Emei be safeguarded,its resources revitalized,and its vitality invigorated,but also it can serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for safeguarding and overseeing other mountain scenic sites of the same kind.This paper adopts literature analysis,interview survey,case analysis and other research methods,and uses public goods theory,New Public Management theory,and public service-oriented government theory to deeply explore the situation of Mount Emei Scenic Area,and research the current situation of the protection and management of cultural heritage in the region.The results show that the protection and management of cultural heritage in the region is still facing many challenges,Such as limited basic research,lack of preventive measures,and effective development and use of traditional resources.There is a significant gap in the management level of the scenic area management committee,among which the most important reason is the low quality of the management team within the committee,the low level of improvement of the management system,and the relatively small investment in management funds.In addition,the support from multiple parties has not been fully utilized,making the management work of the scenic area face many challenges.This article also proposes countermeasures and suggestions based on human,financial,and material resources.In order to better protect cultural heritage,we should strengthen the training of cadres,increase the reserve of professional talents,improve the system and mechanism of protection management,formulate sound plans and laws and regulations,establish heritage research institutions,and establish a strict regulatory system.In addition,we should also strive to broaden the funding sources for cultural heritage protection and management,actively apply for special funds and scientific research funds from superiors,reasonably absorb social capital,and increase public participation,especially local residents and scenic tourists,in order to promote the sustainable development of cultural heritage. |
