The Study Of The Ghost Novels Of "Harmony And Concealment" In The Tang Dynasty

In the middle and late Tang dynasty,there appeared a series of ghost novels which used the technique of“Harmonious words and argot”.Xiang is considered to be a work of entertainment and bravado because of his“Harmonious concealment”technique and unobvious ideological meaning.The rhetorical devices of the novel“Harmony and concealment” clearly show the author’s writing aim of playing with words and showing off his literary talent,but some of his works are also mixed with the author’s feelings,hiding the hidden hidden meaning,its literary characteristics need to be further explored.This paper takes the novels of“Harmony and seclusion”in the Tang dynasty as the object of investigation,aiming to probe into the author’s practice of using“Harmony and seclusion” to“Entertain” and“Flaunt talent”,this paper tries to prove the narrative content of the novel with the history and social phenomena of the Tang dynasty,and to explore the allegory of the author’s satire,so as to reveal the literary value behind it.The paper is divided into four parts.In the first part,the author traces the development process of the combination of the rhetoric of“Harmonious recesses”and the novels of spirits and monsters,and classifies the novels of“Harmonious recesses”in the Tang dynasty according to the types of spirits and monsters,the second part discusses the expansion of the application of the technique of“Harmonic concealment” in the novels of spirits and monsters,from the social daily life,political life,the spirit of the world three aspects of discussion,trying to re-explore the Tang dynasty“Harmonious hidden” spirit and strange novel writing significance.The third part discusses the rhetorical function of“Harmonic concealment”in the novel text from four aspects: object,character removal,homophonic and parody The fourth part focuses on the change of the use of“Harmony and concealment”in the novel,compared with the use of“Harmony and concealment” rhetoric in the Six Dynasties,in the Tang dynasty,the creation of novels about spirits and monsters has changed from description to entertainment,from museum to bravado,and from burlesque to Tuiyu.The ghost stories of the Tang Dynasty inherited the narrative pattern of the Six Dynasties,which combined the theme of ghost stories and the rhetoric of ghost stories perfectly,resulting in the extreme.It would be unfair to regard it only as a joke or a show-off.After a careful study of the narrative content of the novel,it can be found that the literary value of the novel reflects the social daily life,the political life scene and the literati’s spiritual world through the words of“Harmony hidden”,in line with Liu Xie’s “Quite useful satire remonstrance,”the“Harmonious hidden”value standard,there are also considerable points.
