| In Chinese language,“想”and“要”are modal verbs that are high-frequently used.They are significant points of foreign learners who study Chinese.However,due to the meaning and the use of“想”and“要”are complicated,they are difficulty for these learners.Meanwhile,when Thai learners learn about modal verbs“想”and“要”,they find difficulty.The author finds Chinese modal verbs“想”and“要”are similar to Thai words(?).Owing to in the between these two groups,there are somewhat similarities and differences that often cause Thai learners make errors,especially when using想”and“要1”,and their negative forms.So,after the author has done the in-depth research,the author will summarize similarities and differences in semantics,grammar and pragmatic functions of these two groups of Chinese and Thai words.And then sum up the errors by Thai intermediate Chinese learners in acquiring modal verbs想”and“要”,analyze of the causes of the errors,and put forward teaching strategies and teaching suggestions.Chapter 1-Explaining about The important things are the meaning of the research,the studies in China and other countries,research point and content,research objective and innovative points,corpus sources and research methods.Chapter 2-Comparing and analyzing the semantic,grammatical and pragmatic functions of the modal verbs“想”and“要”with their Thai similar words,and distinguishing the similarities and differences between these two groups of words.Chapter 3-Explaining about questionnaire design and questionnaire result,and the errors by Thai intermediate Chinese learners in acquiring modal verbs“想”and“要”in the HSK dynamic composition corpus.Chapter 4-Classifying the errors,analyzing the sample sentences in the questionnaire and the corpus,and the causes of the errors.Chapter 5-Putting forward teaching strategies for Thai learners in acquiring“想”and“要”.Chapter 6-Reviewing the important results of the whole contexts of the research,and summarizing the deficiency. |
