Since the second half of the last century, when capitalism entered a new stage of development and social injustice was rampant, analytical Marxists, represented by Romer, combined economics and political philosophy, using the research tools of economics and analytical philosophy to put forward their respective theories of distributive justice.Rohmer’s theory of distributive justice begins with his construction of a general theory of exploitation, rejects Marx’s assertion of the labour theory of value in relation to capitalist exploitation, argues that the existence of exploitation can be argued for from a general theory of exploitation approach, and turns to a theory of distributive justice.Romer’s theory of distributive justice discusses in detail the content, object and form of fair distribution, arguing that the fair distribution of "basic resources" is where social distributive justice lies, while the object of fair distribution(the object of compensation)is determined by factors such as luck and personal responsibility. The concrete form of distributive justice is a model of equality of opportunity that has been carefully designed by Romer. In this way,Rohmer constructs a theory of distributive justice from theory to practice for the achievement of socialist justice. However,Romer’s theory of distributive justice still suffers from shortcomings and flaws,as his approach of using the tools of analytical philosophy and economic research has forced him to compromise with the capitalist approach at the technical level, thus causing a deviation from the understanding of the essence of socialist distributive justice, losing the grasp of collation away from historical materialism and losing the consideration of ’production’ as a factor of distributive justice. This has led to a deviation from the understanding of the essence of socialist distributive justice,a loss of grasp of collation,a loss of "production" as a consideration of distributive justice, and the construction of a model of fair distribution characterised by a wrong path.Romer’s theory of distributive justice has a socialist stance, and he proposes concrete decisions of reference value for achieving socialist justice.Despite the shortcomings and flaws of his theory, from a practical perspective it is conducive to achieving common prosperity and quality development, exploring the building of a better life for the people, and ultimately realising the ambitious goals of socialist modernisation with Chinese characteristics and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era.
