During the Anti Japanese War,the Communist Party of China put forward the principle of independence and autonomy of the Anti Japanese national united front in the cooperation with the Kuomintang. The proposal of the principle of independence and autonomy is the inevitable choice for the Communist Party of China to adhere to the line of comprehensive anti Japanese War and strive for the leadership of the Anti Japanese national united front. In the process of forming the principle of independence and autonomy, there were differences with the right dogmatism within the party and the right principle of the Comintern. The Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong fought against the wrong ideas of the Comintern and Wang Ming. The principle of independence and autonomy was finally fully formed after three stages of development:proposal, establishment and improvement. The principle of independence and autonomy is manifested in the struggle on two fronts, opposing both left closed door doctrine and right capitulationism. That is,in order to consolidate and develop the United Front,it not only makes positive concessions to its allies, but also adopts necessary fights. At the same time, vigorously develop the CPC’s own strength and constantly expand its political influence in the United Front,so as to lay a solid foundation for striving for the leadership. The principle of independence and autonomy has promoted the CPC to play a political leading role in the Anti Japanese national united front, promoted the process of Sinicization of Marxism, and has enlightening significance for the United Front to play its magic weapon role in the new era.
