For a long time, the preference of "time before space" has always occupied the mainstream position in the process of western narrative models, and the spatial dimension has always been ignored.Until the late 20 th century,"spatial turn" appeared in social critical theory, which shifted the research focus from time to social space, making it a new perspective for western academic research and understanding of contemporary social development. At present, due to the acceleration of the process of capital globalization, the world has formed a larger social space category, and this spatial development mode led by capital has also subtly affected socialist countries. In the process of China’s development, the intervention of capital has gradually widened the gap between urban and rural areas. After solving the problem of absolute poverty, how to further build a new urban-rural relationship and ensure that capital always plays a more positive role than a negative role is an important proposition for China’s social development in the next step.Based on this, this paper, starting from Marx’s dimension of space justice, studies how to realize the need of justice in the social space dimension, and takes the urban-rural spatial relationship as the main foothold,in order to get enlightenment to solve the problems of China’s urban-rural spatial relationship in the criticism and construction of social space. The basic ideas and core views of the article are as follows:Chapter I.The main contents include the questions raised in this paper and the related background, the overview of the research situation at home and abroad, and the general thinking framework of the research. At present, there have been systematic discussions on the issue of space justice in the academic circle, but there is a lack of comprehensive reflection based on The actual situation of China and Marx’s thought of space justice, which is the research significance of this paper.Chapter II.Expounds the origin of Marx’s space view and its justice dimension, and discusses the background, main connotation and theoretical core of Marx’s space justice thought from three perspectives of economy, politics and social life.Among them, the harmony of urban and rural spatial relations is the primary task and goal to ensure the realization of Marx’s spatial justice.Chapter III.Focuses on Marx and Engels’ criticism of urban and rural spatial relations in the capitalist world at that time and the blueprint of social space integration. On the one hand, they affirm the promoting role and progressive significance of capital logic to urban-rural spatial relations, but on the other hand, they criticize the division, alienation and opposition of urban-rural spatial relations under the influence of capital logic from three perspectives of economy, politics and daily life. Finally, they believe that only by integrating urban and rural spatial relations, realizing the sharing of spatial products and the equality of spatial rights and interests, can social space move towards spatial justice.Chapter IV.The space of Marx and Engels justice idea and the relationship between urban and rural development of China,a new era of urbanization problems, explore how to build the spatial justice between urban and rural areas,to resolve the current contradiction of space and urban crisis hit China, the justice of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and harmonious urban space ideal.Understanding and grasping Marx and Engels’ criticism of space and space justice thoughts is not only conducive to the inheritance and interpretation of Marxism in the new era,but also conducive to solving the space problems in China’s urban and rural development in the new era.Advocating the development mode of space justice provides ideological reference and theoretical accumulation.
