Research On The Report Of The 100th Anniversary Of The Founding Of The Party By People’s Daily

2021 marks the 100 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.It is also the first year for China to embark on a new journey towards the second centenary goal of comprehensively building a modern socialist country after completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the first centenary goal.At this important juncture,we should celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,look back on the great path the Party has traveled since its founding,review the great achievements the Party has made under the leadership of the people in the historical process of revolution,development and reform,and review the rich experience the Party has accumulated during its long struggle.It is undoubtedly of great significance to the mighty force that brings together all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation and makes unremitting efforts to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Based on the "collective memory" theory and text analysis and content analysis method,this thesis explores how party newspapers construct collective memory for the centennial of the founding of the Party.Through sorting out and analyzing the related reports on the centennial of the Founding of the People’s Daily,the thesis summarizes the reports and makes statistical analysis from the aspects of the number of reports,column overview,report genre,content structure,news sources and report layout of the People’s Daily.According to the distribution of contents and themes,the collective memory theme constructed by People’s Daily and its prominent memory theme are extracted,that is,historical memory,achievement memory and struggle goal.Then it analyzes the strategies used by People’s Daily to construct the collective memory of the founding of the Party in the century from the following five aspects: memory carrier,layout design,reporting perspective,narrative mode and reporting stance.It is found that the descriptive statistics of the reports related to the centennial of the Founding of the People’s Daily party have the following characteristics.Diversified sources of information,common writing and memory of officials and people.On the memory content,combined with the data statistics and analysis,it is found that "people’s daily" has a strong selectivity,focusing on highlighting historical memory,achievement memory and the goal of struggle in the report,basically follows the "historical difficult,brilliant achievements,and realize the goal of the narrative logic,also corresponds to the" history,reality,the future "three dimensions of gradual evolution.In terms of specific construction strategies,the report on the centenary of the founding of the People’s Daily relied on diversified memory carriers,memory symbols,memory places and memory rituals to carry,reconstruct and strengthen memory.In the layout design,the continuation of the People’s Daily special issue layout of the atmosphere,solemn,smart style characteristics,formed a unique visual characteristics;In the perspective of the report,through the history and reality,reflect the ideological connotation,cohesion of consensus power;In the way of narration,the combination of sentiment and reasoning,enhance the continuity of collective memory;Finally,in terms of the reporting position,the party-building report is always based on the position of the proletarian party and the people,respects the subjectivity of the people,and embodies the fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly.
