Study On The Cultivation Of Chinese National Community Consciousness

The Communist Party of China has always attached importance to ethnic work,always insisted on combining Marxist ethnic theory with traditional Chinese culture,realistic ethnic conditions,ethnic traditions and religious culture,and explored a series of ethnic theories with Chinese characteristics.Theories of ethnic equality,ethnic autonomy,ethnic development,ethnic unity,and ethnic integration have been written into the Constitution and various Party documents.Since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward many new requirements and concepts for ethnic work from the actual development of China’s ethnic groups,forming the guidelines and basic guidelines for ethnic work in China.He pointed out that: national unity is the lifeline of our people of all ethnic groups,Chinese national community consciousness is the essence of national unity.The concept of ‘Chinese national community consciousness’ appeared in people’s view for the first time,which is a high summary of the pluralistic pattern of the Chinese nation and an inheritance and development of the Chinese Communist Party’s national theory.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the sense of Chinese national community and how to cultivate it.Chinese national community consciousness is essentially a sense of identity,the identity of all ethnic groups as members of their own Chinese national community.From the perspective of the vertical historical development of the Chinese nation,five identities should be adhered to: identification with the great motherland,identification with the Chinese nation,identification with Chinese culture,identification with the Communist Party of China and identification with socialism with Chinese characteristics.From the perspective of the horizontal development of Chinese real society,we should adhere to five consciousnesses: political community consciousness,economic community consciousness,cultural community consciousness,social community consciousness and ecological community consciousness.According to the new domestic and international situation,the cultivation of Chinese national community consciousness faces many challenges,including historical nihilism,multiculturalism,the reality of unbalanced and insufficient development,and challenges from ethnic separat.Among the challenges,the cultivation of Chinese national community consciousness also faces many opportunities,including the ideological guidance provided by the idea of a community of human destiny,the material foundation provided by the improvement of comprehensive national strength,and the institutional guarantee provided by the construction of the national security legal system.The cultivation of Chinese national community consciousness must adhere to two basic principles,namely,it must adhere to the guidance of Marxist ethnic theory;it must adhere to the Party’s leadership of ethnic work.The cultivation of Chinese national community consciousness can carry out specific measures in five dimensions:political,economic,cultural,social,and ecological,namely,solving ethnic issues within the framework of China’s political system;promoting ethnic integration and unity in common economic prosperity;realizing the cultural manifestation and integration of all ethnic groups within the framework of Chinese culture as a whole;improving the level of people’s livelihood to promote ethnic stability;and improving the ecological environment to build a beautiful home shared by all ethnic groups.
