The Impact Of Urban Settlement Threshold On Industrial Structure Upgrading

With the deepening of the registered residence system reform,the threshold of city settlement has been a key variable affecting labor mobility.Now,the problem that China urgently needs to study and solve is to accelerate the reform of registered residence system and achieve orderly population flow so that we can realize the socialist modernization basically in 2035.Therefore,clearing the role of labor mismatch in the process of upgrading the registered residence threshold will help deepen the reform of registered residence system in China.Registered residence system is a special population system in China.In recent years,the reform has become more and more powerful.The threshold of city settlement has been a key variable affecting labor mobility.At present,the key problem facing our country is to realize the socialist modernization basically through the effective registered residence system reform in 2035,and then achieve the high quality development of urbanization.Therefore,clearing the role of labor mismatch in registered residence threshold will affect the upgrading of industrial structure,and will provide direction for effective registered residence reform.Based on this,this paper calculates the fixed effect model through Stata measurement software,and uses the sample data of 289 city level cities in China for2014-2018 years.The empirical test has examined the impact of registered residence threshold on industrial upgrading,and then calculated the labor resource mismatch index of cities by LSDV method.Then,the paper analyzes the influence and mechanism of labor resource allocation in the process of registered residence threshold restraining the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure by using the intermediary effect model.The results show that the threshold of city settlement significantly reduces the degree of labor mismatch,while effective registered residence system reform will promote the upgrading of industrial structure.And the more thorough the registered residence system reform,the stronger the city threshold policy will play a role in the industrial structure.The result also passed the robustness test,that is,the robustness test result is consistent with the benchmark regression result.From the perspective of urban population size,the impact of the settlement threshold of cities with a population of more than 2 million on the upgrading of industrial structure is lower than that of cities with a population of between 1-2 million;From a regional perspective,there is regional heterogeneity in the impact of urban settlement threshold on the upgrading of industrial structure.The net effect of cities in the East and central regions is higher than that in the West.The results of intermediary effect analysis show that the mismatch of labor resources will play a role in the process of urban settlement threshold affecting the upgrading of industrial structure.The threshold of urban settlement can not only directly affect the upgrading process of industrial structure,but also further inhibit the upgrading of industrial structure through the spatial mismatch of labor resources.Therefore,we must get more efforts to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of industries.We must increase the intensity of registered residence reform,and then propose targeted resource allocation policies according to the differences in the development of different regions,and ultimately lead to the transformation and upgrading of the entire social industry.The innovation of this paper is: first,theoretically analyze the relationship between the threshold of city settlement,the mismatch of labor resources and the upgrading of industrial structure,and integrate the three into the unified research framework.Then,we conduct an empirical test.The results show that the effective allocation of labor resources in space will affect the role of registered residence threshold system in upgrading the industrial structure,and expand the new research direction for the research of industrial structure upgrading.Three It provides a strong theoretical basis for formulating relevant urban settlement threshold policies in the future.
