A Study On The Resocialization Of Prisoners After Prison Reform

Now our society is rapidly developing,the social environment is complex,and the illegal and criminal behaviors are aggravated,which is directly reflected by the high rate of recidivism.The resocialization of criminals has increasingly become an important issue affecting the prison management level,the judicial reform process and the long-term security and stability of the society.As an integral part of the country’s judicial system,punishment and rehabilitation are the principles and policies of prison work,but its core attribute is to reform criminals into law-abiding citizens,return to the society and no longer commit crimes,that is,to export"qualified products" to the society.From the perspective of sociology,the process of resocialization of criminals is not fundamentally different from that of social people.It is only through special reform means and correction methods that the individuals who could not be accepted by the society can return to the society,become new people conforming to social norms,and realize their resocialization.However,in reality,the resocialization of criminals has always been a difficult problem in prison management.In the process of resocialization,there are many internal and external problems,and the process of resocialization of reformed criminals is not complete,which directly leads to the high rate of recidivism in the current society and seriously endangers the security and stability of the society.The author through the consult material,citing internal data and case interview,multimode combed the theory of criminal again socialization research both at home and abroad,and Z of nanjing jail after transforming criminals and social status are analyzed,summarizes the problems in the resocialization of prisoners in Z prison of Nanjing:personality disorder,employment barrier,communication barrier,etc.,and analyzes the causes behind the problems.The article holds that the causes of the problem include internal factors,external factors and individual factors of criminals.The internal factors include:the status of prison education and reform is not high,the lack of openness and closeness of prison,and the compulsion of punishment lead to the lack of attention to the subject status of criminals;External factors include the prejudice of social attitude,the non-tolerance of social environment,the exclusiveness of social relations,the lack of social help and education system,etc.Individual factors of criminals are the influence of penitent attitude,individual earning ability and mental state respectively.On this basis,the article puts forward some countermeasures and Suggestions,such as improving the effect of prison internal reform,optimizing the social external environment,and adjusting the physical and mental conditions of the reform objects.
