| China has gradually become one of the few countries with the highest rate of population aging process in the world.Faced with the rapid development of information technology,a large number of older people are inevitably stumbling in the process of digital development of society.Older people are unable to adapt to the digital situation in their lives, unable to control and difficult to master, thus sighing at the information technology.Digital technology plays a significant role in promoting economic development and social progress, but at the same time,it also makes the elderly group inevitably fall into the embarrassing situation of the digital disadvantaged. The current social situation of"aging population" and the enthusiasm of the elderly for "social digitization" are difficult to integrate organically, highlighting the urgency of solving the digital integration dilemma of the elderly.Since the 18th Party Congress, the Party Central Committee has attached great importance to the service work of the elderly groups, and General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the purpose of the work of the elderly and the importance of doing a good job on many occasions. As an important part of the economy and society, the elderly should share the fruits of digital development with other groups, instead of being isolated from the "wall" by new technologies and applications. Therefore, the starting point of this study is how to ensure that the elderly can keep pace with the times and fully enjoy the convenience brought by digitalization. This paper takes Community C in Jinzhou City as a case study and obtains first-hand information through questionnaires, interviews and symposiums.Guided by the theories of equal development,re-socialization and digital divide, the obtained information is analyzed in depth and converged into three aspects for research, and the following conclusions are tentatively drawn. The main problems in digital integration of the elderly group in Community C of Jinzhou City:First, the exploration of the digital access end.Due to their living background and physical condition brought about by age,the elderly group has a poorer ability to accept new things and has difficulty understanding digital technology, gradually becoming a marginal group in the digital society or even being completely excluded, thus forming a digital integration dilemma;secondly, the exploration of the digital use end.The digital consumption ability of the elderly group has not been fully explored, and the digital information technology led by the market economy system and high-tech industry has not taken the elderly group as one of the main target customers of digital products and communication contents;thirdly, the exploration of the digital management end.Factors such as intergenerational cultural feedbacks, watchfulness among relatives, information sources, digital infrastructure construction and training and education situation all play an important role in the degree of digital literacy of the elderly group.Due to objective factors such as living conditions,or subjective psychological factors such as lack of patience, young people lack sufficient care and support for the digital empowerment of older people.Meanwhile, the lack of a sound social support system and the absence of collaborative governance are also the main reasons for the current digital integration dilemma of the elderly.Based on the above findings, this paper puts forward three suggestions to solve the digital integration dilemma of older people.First,to construct age-friendly information infrastructure construction and improve the professional and regular assistance system for digital issues rooted in the grassroots;second,to improve the age-appropriateness of digital products and better cater to the digital consumption market of older people;third,to strengthen digital competency education and cultural feedbacks for older people, and to build a collaborative governance structure and a multi-disciplinary body to build and share a common governance pattern to guarantee digital equality for older people. |
