Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Traffic Congestion In The Old City Of Xingwen County

With the continuous acceleration of urbanization,the number of cars per capita is increasing,and the traffic demand in the old district of the county seat is increasing rapidly.However,in the old district of the county traffic management,due to various reasons,and did not upgrade the existing road facilities.Therefore,the carrying capacity of the traffic facilities in the old district of the county seat is extremely limited compared with the increasing demand for motor vehicles.Frequent traffic jams restrict the humanization and sustainable development of the Old City of the county.This problem directly affects the immediate interests of the masses,the local people’s evaluation of the government,the local residents’ travel experience.Therefore,it is of great significance both in theory and practice to explore the problem of traffic congestion control in the Old City of county.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the causes of traffic congestion in the old urban areas of Xingwen County,China,based on the theoretical knowledge and practical experience gained during my postgraduate years,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for dealing with the traffic congestion in the old city of Xingwen County.Taking the old city of Xingwen County as a case study,this paper systematically analyzes,generalizes and refines the common problems of traffic congestion in the old city of Xingwen County from “Point” to “Surface”,and on this basis,applying the corresponding management theory,the paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures,policy suggestions and governance strategies.Using methods of literature review and interview method,the paper found that the traffic congestion in the Old City of Xingwen County was mainly manifested as traffic jam at fixed time points and road traffic jam caused by special weather,bike-sharing traffic jams,etc..Based on the experience of urban congestion management models at home and abroad and the location of Xingwen County and the actual traffic flow in Xingwen County,this paper discusses the ways to solve the traffic congestion in the old urban areas,for example: standardizing the industry development in the old city,giving full play to the role of Guangming Dam and high-speed rail new area traffic relief,formulating traffic development plan,public priority,we should develop TOD model,solve problems by theory,improve traffic infrastructure,use advanced technology,improve traffic efficiency,involve the whole people and advocate the idea of healthy travel.
