Study On The Causes And Countermeasures Of Traffic Jams Of Main Road In Zhengzhou

Recently, with the development of economy, the process of urbanization in China is speeding up. Right now, urbanization is becoming the trend of world-wide economic and social development, and it is also the part of mordernization of China. However,"city sickness",traffic jam, is increasingly worsening during the urbanization process in China, especially in the big cities. Traffic jam is becoming unnegligible social problems in China. The reasons of traffic jam are various, and solutions of trffic jam may also be various. The most important one is to solve the traffic jam in the main way, because the main way in city take the most responsibility of alleviating traffic pressure in city. If traffic jam happened constantly in the main way in city, they may easily cause traffic jam in sub-roads and other areas in city that are connected with those main ways. Consequently, the whole city may be congested. Studying the problems of traffic jam in main way and analyzing the reasons of them an then providing constructive suggetions are significant to solve traffic jam problems in the big cities in China. How to solve traffic jam problems in the main way and decresing congestion rate is the goal of this paper. This paper focuses on traffic jam in Zhengzhou city in China and analyzes the reasons of contant traffic jam areas of Zhengzhou city by means of generalizing worldwide traffic jam statistics, and consequently providing possible improving methods. This not only benefits improving traffic in Zhengzhou city,but also provding experiences for solving traffic problems in other cities. Therefore, this paper has long-lasting social meaning and economic meaning.
