A Study On The Emancipation Of Women’s Minds By Mao Zedong During The War Of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,the Chinese Communists with Mao Zedong as the main representative profoundly realized the tremendous role of Chinese women in the revolutionary struggle;in the process of continuously integrating theory and practice,under the guidance of the Marxist concept of women,they gradually formed Mao Zedong’s Thought on Emancipating Women during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.The establishment of the anti-Japanese national united front laid a theoretical foundation and provided ideological guidance for continuing to promote the development of the cause of Chinese women in the new era and giving play to the great role of women in socialist modernization.The period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was a crucial period in the formation of Mao Zedong’s emancipation of women’s thoughts.Mao Zedong’s Thought on Women’s Emancipation is rooted in excellent traditional culture,originated from the examination of the fate of modern women,and inspired by the realistic thinking of early Chinese Marxists on the issue of women’s movement in China,inheriting and developing the Marxist concept of women.Under the dual oppression of Japanese imperialism and the reactionary forces of the Kuomintang,the Party Central Committee with Mao Zedong as the core clearly understood the importance of mobilizing women to participate in the War of Resistance,vigorously advocated the establishment of an anti-Japanese national united front,and formulated a series of women’s policies to serve the whole nation in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression because of the situation,to protect women’s rights and interests from the three aspects of economy,politics and culture,and at the same time to sum up the policies and principles of women formed during the war,and to extract the content of women’s work with the characteristics of the times,thus satisfying the revolutionary task of mobilizing women in wartime.The basic rights and interests of women have also been guaranteed.Mao Zedong’s Thought on Women’s Emancipation closely integrated the two major historical tasks of national liberation and women’s liberation,highlighted the characteristics of combining women’s liberation with revolutionary mobilization,political propaganda,and the mass line,and was the ideological crystallization of Chinese communists with the characteristics of the times.
