Since 2021,with the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,good results have been achieved in various places,and a large educational environment and atmosphere have been formed.The fundamental purpose of the "double reduction" is to reduce the academic burden of students,promote the return of education to its essence,and let children grow up healthily and happily.In the face of the continuous development trend,schools should further improve the teaching and educating level,and provide after-school services to meet the personalized needs of students according to their different characteristics.The study takes the urban primary school in X county in the border area of Yunnan Province as the research object.Due to the limitations of the region and other conditions,the education development in X county is relatively backward.After-school service,as a new thing just started,still has problems in the specific implementation process,such as weak policy support,single content of after-school service,high work pressure of teachers,difficulty in teacher allocation,and low participation of parents.Consequently,the implementation strategy of after-school service work in urban primary schools in X county is the issue that is needed to further study.The study has combed through policies related to after-school services in recent years,designed a survey questionnaire and interview outline,conducted field interviews to grasp the implementation status of after-school services in urban primary schools in X county.Also,the thesis has analyzed the problems and their causes in the status quo of after-school services in those schools based on the above research,and concluded that there is a lack of relevant policy and system guarantees in the field of after-school services,schools are limited in the conditions for providing after-school services,teachers have low levels of awareness,and parents have biased concepts.Based on this background,optimization suggestions are put forward for the implementation of after-school services in urban primary schools in X county.
