A Study On The Willingness And Influencing Factors Of The Mutual Aid Elderly Care In Urban Communities Of Shanxi Province

As China’s aging population increases and science and technology develops rapidly,economy,society and ideology have witnessed great changes.This creates many empty-nest families.The number of empty nesters is increasing day by day,and the care for empty nesters presents a grim picture.Shanxi Province also faces such a problem.In the urban communities where the empty nesters live,a new model of elderly care-mutual care-has emerged.Through mutual help and care among neighbors in the community,the burden and pressure of the elderly care are reduced.In doing so,the empty nesters can live a fulfilling and happy life,thus improving the quality of the elderly care.Based on the research results of relevant scholars at home and abroad,this paper selects six typical communities in Taiyuan as samples to conduct field research and questionnaire survey,so as to understand the actual basic situation,pension needs and real willingness to participate in mutual help and care for the elderly in Taiyuan city,and analyze the influencing factors of their willingness to participate in mutual care for the elderly in Taiyuan city.As China’s aging population increases and science and technology develops rapidly,economy,society and ideology have witnessed great changes.Empty nest family has gradually become a choice for people.The number of empty nesters is increasing day by day,and the care for empty nesters presents a grim picture.Shanxi Province also faces such a problem.In the urban communities where the empty nesters live,a new model of elderly care-mutual care-has emerged.Through mutual help and care among neighbors in the community,the burden and pressure of the elderly care are reduced.In doing so,the empty nesters can live a fulfilling and happy life,thus improving the quality of the elderly care.The variables were selected and assigned from four aspects:personal characteristics,economic status,behavioral cognition,and social support,and the questionnaire data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and one-way interaction analysis through SPSS26.0 to filter out 14 factors with significant influence,followed by binary regression analysis to obtain nine significant influencing factors.The results of the analysis showed that four factors including age,education level,physical health condition,and self-care ability are significant in the aspect of personal characteristics;two factors including annual household income and income stability are significant in the aspect of the economic status;three factors including satisfaction with the old-age care method,awareness of mutual help,and willingness to become volunteers are significant in the aspect of the behavioral support;and the support from the government and society are significant in terms of the social support.By Combining the results from the empirical analysis on the basis of draw lessons from advanced experience and based on the realities of Shanxi Province,the author proposes the suggestions for improving mutual care and enhancing the willingness of the empty nesters to take part in mutual care from five aspects: raising the level of awareness,improving policy support,strengthening the construction of talents,refining the service system,and introducing social forces,so as to provide some research ideas and suggestions for the development of mutual-aid care for the empty nesters in Shanxi Province.
