Research On The Construction Path Of Farmers’ Better Life In Enshi Prefecture In The New Era

Since Since the reform and opening-up,especially since the 18 th National Congress of the party,the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics has made a series of great achievements that have attracted worldwide attention,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The principal social contradiction lies in the contradiction between the people’s growing needs for a better life and their unbalanced and inadequate development.The essence of this major social contradiction is how to solve the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development in order to achieve a better life for the people.But in our country,because of the long-term unbalanced development in history,this contradiction is more prominent in the rural areas,especially in the relatively poor and backward ethnic areas.Based on this,paying attention to the farmers’ good life and studying the construction path of the farmers’ good life in the relatively poor and backward ethnic areas can provide the guidance of the value orientation for the farmers to pursue the good life,it can also provide the guidance of value target for the promotion of rural revitalization in the new era.The Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southwest of Hubei Province,but it belongs to the “West” in terms of economic and social development.This thesis is a three-part study on the path to a better life for Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture’s farmers.The first part combs the thought source of good life from the perspective of ethics,positive psychology and Marxist theory.The second part analyzes the changes of the main social contradictions in our country since the reform and opening-up,and examines the improvement process of people’s life from subsistence,well-off,all-round well-off to a better life,combined with the theoretical understanding of the good life,summed up the basic indicators of the good life of farmers.The third part examines and analyzes the current situation of farmers’ lives in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.Based on field surveys,it learns about farmers’ new expectations for a better life and proposes ways to build a better life,taking into account the practice of rural revitalization,it includes improving infrastructure,ensuring income stability,demonstrating democracy at the grass-roots level,building a civilized countryside,developing fair education,ensuring health care,and protecting the ecological environment,to build a value system for a better life for farmers.
