Research On Marx’s Leisure Thought

With the increase in productivity and the improvement of our holiday system,people have been given more leisure time,and leisure has become an important part of people’s lives and is considered an important criterion for measuring the quality of their lives.However,there is a mix of different leisure ideas and leisure styles,which can easily lead people into a quagmire of materialism,vulgarism and hedonism.Wrong ideas of leisure and leisure methods not only fail to achieve the true purpose of leisure,but can even harm people’s bodies and minds.Marx’s idea of leisure provides such a "meta-leisure" concept,and its study is of great theoretical and practical importance.In Marx’s vast body of thought,the idea of leisure is not as specific and precise as other ideas in his texts,but rather in a metaphorical state,lacking in systematization.Therefore,in the study of Marx’s thought,the study of his idea of leisure is often left vacant and belongs to the more obscured topics,thus leading some scholars to believe that the idea of leisure does not exist in Marx’s thought system.However,the idea of leisure does exist in Marx’s theory,and it is extremely important.This requires us to explore and analyse the concepts and theories related to Marx’s idea of leisure from the text in order to make a more in-depth and specific study of it.Starting from Marx’s classic works,this paper,on the basis of combing the theoretical origin,social background and development path of Marx’s leisure thought,argues for the existence of Marx’s leisure thought,explains the basic content of Marx’s leisure thought,explores the realistic path to realize Marx’s leisure thought,and considers the contemporary value of Marx’s leisure thought,with a view to providing some reference to the current relevant issues at the theoretical level.The aim is to provide some reference for the research on the current issues and to help people establish a correct view of leisure at the practical level.
