Research On The Challenges And Responses Of The "Universal Values" View Of Freedom To Political And Ideological Education

The concept of "universal values" of freedom is a value promoted by the ideology of capitalism.It embodies the purely discursive idealistic character based on the abstract theory of human nature,which is the unattainable freedom of the other side and the natural freedom of the spontaneous.It is the freedom of class domination,embodying the essence of capitalism,a freedom that has a distinctly individualistic overtone,a formal freedom that upholds privilege and a one-way freedom of material servitude.It tries to apply the Western-centrism concept of freedom to other countries and regions without distinction,and it is a priori ideological content,double standards of practice and exclusive mode of application reflect the hegemonic nature.The infiltration of the liberal view of "universal values" is aimed at cultivating opponents of socialism and poses a great challenge to political and ideological education.First of all,it hinders the realization of the goal of political and ideological education,and its capital logic blurs the political position of peoples supremacy,prioritizing freedom over virtue dilutes socialist moral cultivation,and indulging in material pleasures reduces the spiritual motivation to forge ahead.Secondly,it weakens the content characteristics of political education,undermines communist ideals,distorts the belief in socialism,and negates collectivist values.Finally,it denies the feasibility of political and ideological education methods,rejects the inculcation of mainstream ideology,undercuts the role of social practice,and weakens the strength of self-education.Classical Marxism,the core socialist values,and the shared values of all human beings provide the basis for addressing the challenge of the "universal values" of freedom to ideological and political education.Freedom based on practice transcends the a priori freedom of the "universal value" concept of freedom,starts from the "real person",takes the elimination of classes as the fundamental way,and takes the realization of the free and comprehensive development of human beings as the ultimate goal.The freedom dedicated to human liberation breaks away from the "universal value" concept of freedom under the class rule and takes collectivism as its value orientation,expressing universal rights and pursuing social harmony.The freedom of difference in harmony responds to the hegemony of the "universal value" concept of freedom,based on the practical needs of a community with a shared future for mankind,insists on seeking common ground while reserving differences,and pursues mutual benefit and a win-win situation.In the practice of political and ideological education,the challenge of the "universal values" of freedom must be firmly addressed.Firstly,we should clarify the necessity of cultivating reliable successors of socialism,fostering believers of Marxism,self-disciplined practitioners of shaping socialist morality,and pursuers of free human association.Secondly,we should give full play to the inherent advantages of political and ideological education,deepen the education of traditional Chinese freedom thought,continue the exploration of freedom by the Communist Party of China,and strengthen the socialist ideology education,to achieve the superiority of manifesting the theoretical soul and practical foundation of political and ideological education.Finally,we should integrate political and ideological education resources,combine the small school classroom,the social classroom,and the new network classroom to expose the essence of the "universal values" concept of freedom,create a good environment to cultivate and practice the socialist concept of freedom and hold the network position to deal with the hidden spread of the "universal values" concept of freedom.
