The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the center and focus of the current "three rural areas" work-rural revitalization.Under the background of the new era,rural revitalization has brought new opportunities for peasants’ ideological and political education,and has also made them face new tests.In the context of rural revitalization,how to better integrate farmers’ ideological and political education into the rural revitalization strategy and provide internal means to solve problems for the effective development of rural revitalization is a hot topic at present.The purpose of this research is to try to find answers to strengthen peasants’ ideological and political education in the general environment of rural revitalization through front-line research,and to this end,it goes deep into front-line townships and villages to analyze and study the current situation and problems in peasants’ ideological and political education,and then seeks ways to solve this problem,and puts forward reasonable and feasible countermeasures for peasants’ ideological and political education.This study selects Cangshan West Town as a case study,comprehensively expounds the rural revitalization strategy and the relevant theories of farmers’ ideological and political education,goes deep into the front-line townships and villages to investigate the educational practice and educational characteristics of Cangshan West Town,understands the real education status,organizes and summarizes the collected data,interview recordings and questionnaires,and conducts further analysis.The analysis shows that under the background of rural revitalization,Cangshan West Town has actively carried out ideological and political education for farmers,the political quality of farmers has been comprehensively improved,grassroots party and government cadres have also made innovative progress in educating people and talents,and the ideological and political education of peasants in the town has shown the characteristic characteristics of "wide coverage,strong party building guidance,and typical guidance".Objectively speaking,however,there are still certain problems in the work of ideological and political education for peasants in Cangshan West Town,such as the low enthusiasm of some peasants for participating in politics,the construction of the educational contingent is not advanced,the educational content is lagging behind and monotonous,and the educational methods are not realistic and difficult to achieve the expected results,and so on.Through the survey results,we know that the reasons for these problems are multifaceted: first,the peasant groups themselves have certain limitations;Second,as the main body of education,grassroots party committees and governments do not invest much in education work;Third,the content is divorced from reality,and finally,the innovation of educational methods cannot be realistic.In view of the problems and difficulties found in field research,this study attempts to put forward measures and suggestions for strengthening farmers’ ideological and political education in rural revitalization: first,improve the subjective initiative of peasant groups and adhere to the status of farmers as the main body;Second,focus on the real needs of farmers,and refine and enrich the content of education;Third,focus on the specific conditions at the grassroots level and innovate education methods.This study has certain value: based on the current situation of rural development,combined with the needs of farmers and socialist modernization,the ideological and political education of Chinese peasants can be improved,and the theoretical research of academic circles can be enriched,in order to form a theoretical reference value for rural construction in the new period,so as to play a certain degree of promoting China’s rural revitalization.
