As the most basic teaching organizations of colleges and universities,grass-roots teaching organizations in colleges and universities are the organization for organizing and implementing teaching and research.The operation of basic teaching organizations is directly related to the quality and development level of colleges and universities.With the development of higher education in China and the impact of the current COVID19 on online teaching in colleges and universities,higher requirements have been put forward for grass-roots teaching organizations in colleges and universities.Based on the analysis of the structure and the current situation of daily teaching management of grass-roots teaching organizations in colleges and universities,this paper tries to think about the counter measures for improving the teaching management of grass-roots teaching organizations in colleges and universities.It is of great significance to probe into the basic level teaching management model and reform approaches for deepening teaching reform and continuously improving teaching quality.This study draws on some principles and propositions of learning organization theory,contingency theory,virtual organization theory and organization support theory,and puts forward the important value and role of grass-roots teaching organizations in colleges and universities for the development of colleges and universities.The representative double first—class construction university—Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University of Science and Technology was selected as the research sample.Through investigation and analysis,the current situation of teaching grass-roots organizations of NWAFU was analyzed from the aspects of the setting of teaching grass-roots organizations,the development of teaching and research activities,the construction of teaching staff,and the management of teaching grass-roots organizations,to find out the outstanding contradictions and deep-seated reasons in the current management of teaching grass-roots organizations of colleges and universities.Combined with the advanced experience and enlighten the basic level teaching organization and management of NWAFU,this paper puts forward counter measures and suggestions,and strives to provide theoretical guidance for further strengthening and improving the basic level teaching organization and management.Based on the experiences of other universities in the management of teaching and learning organizations at the grass-roots Northwest A&F University,this study combines the advanced practices and existing research findings in the management of teaching and learning organizations at the grass-roots level,based on the theory of public organization management,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: to establish scientific management mechanism,to establish comprehensive input guarantee mechanism,to perfect management system,to perfect incentive system,and to strengthen the construction of teaching staff,explore the development model of virtual teaching and research room and other feasible suggestions.To promote the continuous improvement of the Northwest A&F University teaching organization system,and to provide support for the construction of the first-class Northwest A&F University.
