Urban Communities In The New Era Based On SWOT Analysis Research On Ideological And Political Work

Ideological and political work is an heirloom of our Party and the lifeline of economic work and all other work.Urban communities are the intersection of social groups and the gathering point of social conflicts,and they are also the focus point of community ideological and political work.On 12 July 2021,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Opinions on Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Work in a New Era,pointing out that the quality and level of grassroots ideological and political work should be improved,and community ideological and political work in a new era should be effectively strengthened.In the new era,strengthening the ideological and political work of urban communities is necessary to consolidate the Party’s ruling base at the grassroots level,to promote the modernisation of urban community governance,and to promote the overall development of the people.The SWOT analysis method is used to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the internal and external aspects of urban community ideological and political work,to find out the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats faced by the state of urban community ideological and political work in the new era.At present,the effective role of the grassroots organisations in urban community work as a fighting base,the content of community ideological and political work close to the reality,and the initial formation of the synergy of community ideological and political work are the obvious advantages of urban community ideological and political work.While community ideological and political work has obvious advantages,it also has certain disadvantages,such as some urban communities have deviations in understanding and need to improve their thinking;inflexible methods and need to improve the way;insufficient manpower and need to strengthen the team.In the new era,new opportunities and new requirements,the development of ideological and political work is generally valued,and the pattern of community ideological and political work is constantly being improved;the carrier is innovative,and the carrier of community ideological and political work is constantly growing;the policy is guaranteed,and the investment in community ideological and political work is constantly increasing.Opportunities and challenges coexist,urban communities have greater opportunities while also facing considerable challenges,such as more disputes at the grassroots level,complex social issues bring new contradictions;information is mixed,cultural and public opinion positions face a new situation;work objects are diverse,the residents’ main consciousness is diversified.Through a SWOT analysis of the ideological and political work of urban communities in the new era,the principles of strengthening the ideological and political work of urban communities are elaborated on the basis of "what can be done"(i.e.the strengths and weaknesses of the organisation)and "what can be done"(i.e.the opportunities and threats of the environment).and responses.In order to carry out ideological and political work in urban communities,it is necessary to adhere to the five principles of people-orientation,adaptation to local conditions,gradual and orderly progress,combination of the visible and the hidden,and long-term success.The ideological and political work in urban communities needs to be sustained in five areas: party building,philosophy,content,team and methods.
