Nuclear Disarmament In Russia-U.S. Relations In The 21st Century

This paper examines the role of nuclear disarmament in the 21 st century as one of the most important concerns not only for the nuclear powers,but also for the entire international community.At the current stage of U.S.-Russian relations,the nuclear factor plays a significant role.Despite the positive experience in the nuclear sphere accumulated in recent years,the countries are now closer to nuclear war than ever before.The current research was carried out to investigate the correlation between the deterioration of U.S.-Russian relations and the increased risk of the use of nuclear weapons.The results showed that the current threat of nuclear war can only be eliminated by complete nuclear disarmament,since there is no trust left between the countries,which is why it is so important to take steps in this direction.Reducing nuclear risk can be a unifying goal for all nuclear-weapon states and lay the groundwork for multilateral forms of nuclear weapons negotiations.
