With the promotion of "Internet plus+health care",the Internet has increasingly become an important place for Chinese residents to obtain health information, but at the same time,it has brought a flood of information, making the quality of health information mixed, and health information screening has become a common, common and necessary behavior of Internet users. In the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was proposed to further promote the construction of a healthy China and implement the national strategy of actively responding to the aging population. Therefore, improving the health information literacy of the people, especially the health information literacy of the middle-aged and elderly, has become an urgent problem to be solved.Currently,We Chat,as a social media platform with a large number of users, has become one of the most commonly used social software for the middle-aged and elderly population.Taking We Chat platform as an example to conduct research can fit the entry point of health information research for middle-aged and elderly users. This paper first combs the research status and related concepts of health information screening ability, and elaborates four related methods and theories, namely,Grounded theory, analytic hierarchy process, interpersonal behavior theory, and UTAUT theory,to provide a theoretical basis for the follow-up analysis of the influencing factors of health information screening ability of middle-aged and elderly We Chat users. Then, the influencing factors of middle-aged and elderly users’ health information screening ability were extracted, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the sample subjects using the interview method to obtain first-hand information about the influencing factors of middle-aged and elderly users’ health information screening ability. After open coding and spindle coding, three primary influencing factors, nine secondary influencing factors, and 22 tertiary influencing factors were analyzed, and the influencing factor model was constructed based on the covariant attribution theory.Next,in order to explore the importance of influencing factors at different levels, this study used Analytic Hierarchy Process to analyze the importance of influencing factors and calculated the relative and total weights of influencing factors at each level. The research results indicate that the individual level influence is the most important at the first level; In the second level, the individual factor has the highest weight; In the third level, the highest weight is the educational level. In order to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of the suggestions, this paper puts forward three relevant suggestions from the perspective of the most important second level influencing factors relative to the first level. With the personal level of health information literacy, the information characteristics of the information level, and the social level of family environment as the entry points, this paper puts forward targeted suggestions to improve the health information screening ability of middle-aged and elderly users. This study expands the theoretical methods in the field of health information, and on the one hand, provides reference and reference for other types of users to improve their health information screening ability and provide relevant suggestions. On the other hand,it provides theoretical support for improving the health information screening ability of middle-aged and elderly We Chat users, and improving and promoting services on social media such as We Chat.
