A Study On The Inheritance Of Campus Culture In New And Old Campus

With the continuous development of society,China’s education has gradually developed from elite education to mass education,and the ensuing problem is the expansion of university enrollment.Many schools have built new campuses to cope with the increasing number of students.However,the situation of one school with multiple districts This has caused many schools to face the problem of campus cultural inheritance faults.Based on this,this paper mainly conducts an in-depth investigation on the degree of university campus cultural identity of university teachers and students with new and old campuses in China through various research methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey and interview.The identification of school campus culture analyzes the current situation and effect of the inheritance of campus culture in the new and old campuses of the university.The results of the study show that although the effect of cultural inheritance between the old and new campuses is relatively satisfactory,due to the uneven cultural foundation of the new and old campuses,the spatial and geographical constraints between the new and old campuses,and the school leaders ’insufficient attention to the cultural heritage of the new and old campuses,Due to the lack of awareness of campus culture inheritance and the lack of school campus cultural education for teachers and students in colleges and universities,there are still teachers and students’ understanding of school campus culture that needs to be further strengthened.The new campus lacks a clear plan for the inheritance of school campus culture,teachers and students and The alumni’s dominant position is not fully utilized,the second-level college leaders and teachers and students lack the initiative to take responsibility for the inheritance of the school’s culture,the school’s insufficient exploration of its own excellent historical culture,and the lack of cultural connotation in the material environment of the new campus of the university.Therefore,this article proposes the establishment of special department responsibility,strengthening school history publicity and school campus culture theme education,giving full play to the advantages of network platforms,strengthening the interaction between new and old campuses,and strengthening the cultural connotation construction of the new campus material environment.In this way,the teachers and students of the new campus will recognize the school campus culture,strengthen their willingness to take the initiative,and promote the cultural inheritance between the new and old campuses.
